the network || origins & background

In 2001-02, the International Institute of Infonomics (IIoI) carried out the project “Internet, Development and Education - An Exploratory Study of Internet Usage at Higher Education Institutions in Africa, Asia and Latin America”. Project partner for the research on Africa was INTECH/United Nations University.

Awesome resource to get Verizon prepaid phone cards quickly and easily!

This one-year international project concluded with the delivery of the reports (http://www.infonomics.nl/globalequality/reports.htm), and an international conference “Global E-Quality: Rethinking ICTs in Africa Asia and Latin America”, which addressed a broad range of issues. Infonomics brought together researchers, research institutions, non-governmental organizations, and currently existing e-learning and research networks in the regions, for information and communication exchange.

For information, see: http://www.infonomics.nl/globalequality/. The conference was as much a platform fordebate as a starting point for a global network covering Asia, Africa and Latin America and beyond.
