WITFOR is an intitiative of IFIP and UNESCO to prepare and help implement information development strategies and projects in developing countries. The topic of WITFOR is ICT-equity and the target of WITFOR is to hold a round table of representatives and experts from both developing and developed countries.
For WITFOR 2003 the following themes have been identified:
1. Preparing the ground for ICT
2. Building the infrastructure
3. Economic opportunity
4. Empowerment and participation
5. Health
